Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Graduates will be able to:
PLO 1: Analyze the problems of translating a text using qualitative data.
PLO 2: Demonstrate appropriate techniques and strategies that could be handled in the area of translation and interpretation.
Plo 3: Develop arguments and make sound judgments on the equivalence and utilize the solutions in accordance with basic theories and concepts of translation and interpretation.
Plo 4: Demonstrate transferable ict skills including cat skills necessary for the employment.
Plo 5: make use of internship programs and develop additional skills that will enable them to perform effective translation.
Plo 6: Exercise impartiality in all professional contacts. Translators do not show bias towards either the author of the source text or the intended readers of their translation.
Plo 7: Exercise leadership in the professional environment/workplace;
Plo 8: Mark clear boundaries between their task as facilitators of communication through message transfer and any tasks that may be undertaken by other parties involved in the work.
Plo 9: Maintain a good mindset including giving and receiving constructive feedback; and practice self-evaluation concerning performance in translation.
