Annual Magazine Release and Book Launch

The department of Translation Studies has recorded its consistent improvement in academic and professional performance. In this regard, annual magazine launch of 2020 which was postponed due the covid-19 pandemic crisis was held on 3rd of December 2021.As a continuous process of the releasing graduated students’ translation works as books; for the year 2020, the translated book with the title “நோய்க்கிடங் கொடேல்” by Mrs.Tharshika Ahilan, Former Temporary Assistant Lecturer, was released on the same day.

‘Translator-2020, Issue IV’ Magazine Release

The magazine ‘Translator-2020, Issue IV’ includes fourteen articles in bilingual languages under different subtitles like Academic articles, poems, interviews and translated works. It includes 1-62 pages. The magazine was released by Prof.S.Manonmani and the first copy was received by the Dean of the faculty.

Translated Book ‘நோய்க்கிடங் கொடேல்’ Launch

The Translated book ‘நோய்க்கிடங் கொடேல்’ includes thirty four chapters. It is a translation of the source book titled as “Health in these times” written by Dr. Sanjeeva Wijesinha, MBBS (Ceylon), M.Sc (Oxford), FRCS, FACS. The book contains wide variety of health care and medical precautionary articles that are likely to interest the choosiest reader. The style is Sri Lankan reader-friendly and suffused with a delightfully impish sense of humor that reinforce the important messages that the author wants to convey. This book was launched by Prof.S.Manonmani and the first copy was received by the Dean of the faculty.
